Today's Wall Street Journal has a great piece about Hal Blaine and The Wrecking Crew. If you don't know, Hal is a drummer with literally thousands of hit records to his credit, starting with Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love," passing right through The Partridge Family (where I discovered him), and on for 50 years. His resume is untouchable, for drummers and any other profession you can think of.
